When I first started online marketing (end of 2005)there were many things I didn't know such as which keywords to target. Naturally in my excitement to "rake in the millions" I did the limited research that my knowledge (or better put lack thereof) allowed and quickly settled on the domain name internetbusinessmart.com because most of the better names with the keyword internet business had already been taken. Little did I know how competitive this keyword was for relatively minuscule returns (relatively few people use the term in online search.
When writing articles I rarely if ever used this keyword as the anchor text in the link pointing to my website. However there it is...internetbusinessmart.com climbing its way up the Google SERPs asa result of passive optimization. What do i mean by passive optimization? Scroll further down to view next image.
