What Experience Has Taught Me About The How To Make Money Online World!

1. LINKING: Don’t waste your time buying links for a number of reasons which include the following:
· Search engines view this as a manipulation of the search index results and unless you are truly a mighty player bringing in tons of revenue they will at the least penalize you, and at the worst outright ban you!
· The other problem with buying links is that even if you do happen to stay beneath the search engines’ radar you will have to continue paying for those links indefinitely unless you wish to lose any positive SEO traction you have thus far made with those bought links. And let me tell you from experience buying links is not cheap. What’s more is if you do quit paying for those links, in short thrift the search engines will pick up on your sudden and suspicious loss of hundreds (perhaps thousands) of links and penalize you with extreme prejudice. (I should know because it happened to me and ever since I lost several thousand links because I stopped paying for them I fell from page 3 to off the index and have never been able to rank for that particular keyword ever again…dislinking took place 5 years ago!)
2. Teaching Folks How To Make Money Online: Once again my advice here is don’t waste your time! There are already more than enough clueless shysters doing this and as a beginner you have a helluva lot of much savvier competition. Besides the naïve public ain’t so naïve anymore. Also remember a good part of your competition is going to be the clued-in shyster crowd who are extremely well versed in peddling their wares on how to make money online (never mind the fact most of them are a load of bollocks!)
3. Article Marketing: Yeah sure…although a long-time staple of many an internet business this internet marketing method is also shrouded in its fair share of controversy. That said article marketing has a number of positive attributes going for it and they include:
· It is free
· A good means of attracting free traffic
· Means of getting free links
· When conducted properly it is an extremely cheap method to make sales
Hmmmm…seems like everything I have said so far about article marketing is glowingly positive so what then is the downside?
Well let’s look at it this way…before you became embroiled in this rather seedy universe of how to make money online hadyou ever visited an article directory? Thought so…the answer is an overwhelming NO!

See! Therein lies the problem with article directories and more specifically article marketing.
It isn’t really that easy to get the sale because most people who come across your article are already jaded and entrenched in the internet business world and are far less inclined to buy whatever you’re peddling than say a virgin visitor from a search engine index search!
Ahhh well but if life was so simple we would all be millionaires now wouldn’t we?
When it comes to link building articles really do their piece of magic! I know that many people are concerned about the iffy issue of duplicative material but truth be told I think that more significance than is warranted is given to this matter.
What I have observed from experience is that articles that are well viewed and that result in click-throughs using your embedded link will guarantee that link recognition by the search engines!
4. To Blog Or Not To Blog: Once-upon-an-easier time there was a time when people could actually make money blogging about nonsense but those days, my friend, are long gone! Old-school blogging is tedious, demanding and offers little reward by the way of ka-ching!
These days when I promote or advocate for blogging what I am really saying is use the blogging platform but forget all that B.S. of trying to get the most comments and such-like other social media claptrap! Social media marketing is very different from traditional internet business marketing and believe me when I say that many a how to make money online marketer has failed woefully in the social media world!
The dynamic blogging platform has an advantage over static websites because they really are favored by search engines. How do I know this? Because I have personally witnessed time and time again a blog post get indexed within seconds of being published whereas a static webpage on the same server may languish for months or years before ever being picked up by the search engines!
Okay lemme break it down for you just in case the light bulb hasn’t quite lit up in the dark recesses of that noggin of yours…if you have a new website and you wish to get it indexed as quickly as possible and thus ascend as quickly as possible up the search engines as possible, then amigo you better go the way of the blog!
Alright I am going to have to cut this article (post or what have you) midway because it is growing quite lengthy, but before I do that I am going to let you into a little secret. Okay the blogging platform (namely themes) such as WordPress which I favor may not be the most desirable option for a particular project.
But here’s the really nifty thing about blogs; you can have your home page as a static page (minus all that bloggy stuff like comments, sidebars etc., this is especially useful if you want to have a salespage). The best part of this trade off is that your static page is going to be treated like a dynamic post by the search engines.
In other words you can have a typical sales page focused on clinching the sale whose mission is not compromised by distractions such as sidebars and comments yet has an advantage over other sales pages in that it is favored by the search engines because of the fact it is a dynamic page!
